Alma del Pacifico Hotel & Spa

We had spent 3 nights in the jungle in the Osa and two nights at Manuel Antonio National Park when we booked three nights at Alma del Pacifico. This was wonderful. Our check-in was handled by Ashley who was very helpful. Our room was a private, walled-in cabana close to the swimming pool with a short walk to the beach. The room was airy, clean and tastefully appointed with an indoor and outdoor shower. The food was wonderful and the wait staff were very good, especially Angie and Freddy who helped us with our imperfect Spanish. After dinner, we would have drink at the bar that was close to the beach, Great to watch the sun go down. The facilities were top notch. The pool was great as was the ocean. My husband and I both used the spa and I got a wonderful neck and shoulder massage from Yelena (apologies if I misspelled her name). After hiking through National Parks with a lot of camera equipment for almost a week, she worked wonders on my neck and shoulders.

Beautiful hotel with great comfort direct by the beach, the beach was beautiful as well as the rooms and the pool. We recommend this hotel!

This is a wonderful hotel and resort in a very quiet part of Costa Rica, yet so close to all the Natural Parks and activities. It is right on the ocean - you actually walk out of your room, on to your patio, and then you are on the beach and the ocean. You can walk for miles, and see McCaws fly right in front of you. They have a wonderful restaurant and a wonderful pool area.

Absolutely beautifully kept landscaping and right off a private beach on the ocean - a storybook setting!

The property is located on an excellent beach with direct and amazing access. The beach has warm water year round and (outside riptide times) it is extremely fun. The entire property is filled with well-maintained gardens and the restaurant boasts a quality (included in our booking) breakfast. Everything is clean, including the rooms, which have excellent heat-pump units that keep them cool and dry. We had a discounted rate but even at full price this would be a very good value and exceptionally better than other nearby accommodation. It is close to Manuel Antonio (book online well in advance to avoid disappointment) and other activities on the beach or nearby. Jaco is also not far and has other activities including boat trips to the West side of Costa Rica.
